Moving to New York from Japan in 2006, Haruka has become one of Brooklyn’s most versatile, seasoned, and in-demand DJs, joining the dots between house, techno, electro, hip hop, disco, rock, and more. For more than 15 years she has continuously been on the cutting edge, and in recent years she’s been making regular appearances at the likes of Bossa Nova, Elsewhere and Mood Ring, including infamous sets at the influential BOUND and Fourth World parties. Joining toucan sounds, and teaming up with a 'who's who' of underground dance artists, ‘HarukaMart’ is the debut EP under her disco/house-leaning project Haruka Salt.
Been a long week had enough of this
Been a long week had enough of this
Been a long week had enough of this
‘Bout time that I scratched the itch
(Yeah, right there’s good)
‘Bout time that I left and hit the road
Been a long week had enough of this
Been a long week had enough of this
Been a long week had enough of this
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
If they ask, tell ‘em, “outta town”
Been a long week had enough of this
‘Bout time that I scratched the itch
‘Bout time that I left and hit the road
‘Bout time that I dip I got to go
Right now you ain’t seeing me around
If they ask, tell ‘em I’m outta town
If they ask, tell ‘em, I’m east bound
Head down, feet up, I’m out
Best believe I’m alone
Oh no, no, no, no
Woah, I let loose, let it go
Oh, I just go with the flow
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch
‘Bout time that I change the pitch
‘Bout time that I did it and forget it
‘Bout time that I left and made an edit
Been a long week had enough of this
Been a long week had enough of this
‘Bout time that I scratch the itch

Moodymann creates innovative soul funky music with deep 70s inspiration. The vocals are simply outstanding. A step back in time, 50 years ago! Superb. jef37
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
